This Fourth of July, GrindStone Stables brought a little extra sparkle - and a lot of heart - to the town parade.
Decked out in red, white, and blue, our riders and horses proudly trotted down Main Street, waving to the crowd and soaking in the celebration. With braids full of ribbons, flags flying, and the unmistakable clip-clop of hooves echoing down the pavement, we were thrilled to represent the barn we love and the community weâre proud to be part of.
Parade day started bright and early at the barn, where our team of riders, volunteers, and horses got everything parade-ready. That meant:
Braiding manes with patriotic flair
Giving our tack a little extra shine
Making sure every horse had a few extra cookies
We brought along some of our most parade-seasoned horses - those with the kind of calm, steady demeanor that makes them perfect for waving flags, staying calm when sirens sound, and being admired by dozens of kids yelling âHi horsie!â
Huge thanks to everyone who came out to cheer us on, wave from the sidewalks, or snap a photo of your favorite pony. Events like this remind us why we love what we do - not just riding, but connecting, celebrating, and showing up for the local traditions that make this area feel like home.
Weâre already dreaming up ideas for next yearâs parade. Until then - see you at the barn!
